New York John F. Kennedy International Airport Parking

Situated 15 miles southeast of the Manhattan city center, John F. Kennedy International Airport is the busiest airport in New York, serving more than 30 million passengers each year.

The nine terminals and parking lots are divided into four color-coded sections. The green section contains Terminals 1, 2 and 3; the blue, Terminals 4E and 4W; the orange, Terminals 5, 6 and 7; and the red, Terminals 8 and 9. All terminals serve both domestic and international flights.

A color-coded shuttle service is on offer with red, white or blue buses running along different routes within the airport complex. The shuttles also provide services from each terminal to the nearby car rental parking lots.

Banking services can be found in Terminals 3, 4 and 8, and exchange bureaux and ATMs are provided in every terminal except Terminal 6.

A huge range of shops, restaurants and bars is on offer, and airport location maps on the walls are very useful for getting around.

An Automated Airport Information System provides basic information on the airport's facilities and an operator will help you for more specific demands.Travellers' Aid service counters are also available in Terminals 3, 6, 7 and 8.
Information is also available on tel: ((+1) 718 244 4444).

Business facilities
Business travelers may use the data ports located throughout the airport, with a few terminals providing fax, computer, courier services and photocopying facilities. For more extensive business facilities, Terminal 7 offers a conference hall and airline lounges.

Disability assistance
Despite its huge size, the airport caters for disabled travelers very well, with ramps providing good physical access to the airport. TDD phones are also on hand. Parking facilities for the disabled are available at each parking lot.

Public transport
Taxi services, buses, shuttles and limousines to and from all nine terminals are available. Local travel information, including service pick-up points from the airport, is provided at terminal 'Baggage Claim' areas at the Ground Transportation Information counters.

Traffic jams are common at JFK, and waiting time for a taxi can be long during rush hours. The best transport solutions at these times include SuperShuttle Manhattan, the New York Airport Services Express Bus and the Gray Line Air Shuttle.

Penn Station, Grand Central Terminal and the Port Authority Bus Terminal, as well as many other major city destinations, are connected to the airport by the New York Airport Service Express Bus.

Private vehicles
Parking lots are well organized but become rapidly over-crowded, especially at Terminals 4, 5 and 6. Passengers may opt for short- or long-term parking; the latter being situated four miles from the terminal area. Parking facilities for the disabled are available at each parking lot.
