George Bush Intercontinental Airport is situated 23 miles north of Houston city center. Offering more than 150 destinations, it is one of America's busiest airports.
There are four passenger terminals, A, B, C and D, with terminals A, B and C offering domestic and short-haul international flights and Terminal D catering for international and long haul flights. A regular shuttle bus service connects the four terminals.
Four exchange bureaux are located in terminals C and D and ATMs are readily available throughout the airport.
Restaurants, bars and shops are found in all four terminals, although terminals C and D offer the best selection.
Bookshops, newsagents, gift shops, clothing stores and travel accessories shops, as well as jewellery shops, are situated in terminals A and B. Duty-free shopping is available only in Terminals C and D.

Coach USA and Express Shuttle USA provide bus services from the airport, connecting to all major towns and tourist attractions in the surrounding Houston. Located outside Terminal C is the Houston Metropolitan Transit Authority (METRO) which also offers bus connections.
Private vehicles
By road, four different routes give access to and from the airport. They
are Highway 59, Interstate 45, the Hardy Toll Road and the Sam Houston Toll
Road (Beltway 8).
25,000 parking spaces are available in and around the airport grounds, with free shuttle services to and from the four terminals. The airport provides hourly, economy and long stay parking. For prompt or special service use Surepark ((+1) 281 233-1730), which guarantees shorter queuing times.
