Birmingham International Airport, located five miles from Birmingham, near Tuscaloosa, serves more than three million passengers every year. The airport services a limited selection of US airlines, with about 10 international departures a day to Canada, Mexico and Caribbean destinations. The airport facilities have recently been upgraded, including the runways, the terminal and parking facilities, as well as security.
The single terminal is composed of two concourses (concourse B and C) receiving ten airlines; four regional carriers and six major carriers.
A good selection of restaurants, bars and shops are distributed throughout the terminal. You will also find McDonald's, Pizza Hut Express, a bookshop and a gift shop.

Taxis are located between Concourse B and C on the lower level. Limousines
and shuttles can be found in the same location.

Driving from the airport, near Tuscaloosa, the I-20 highway will take you into Birmingham. From there, other popular destinations such as Montgomery, Nashville and Gadsden are well indicated.
The main car park is located close to the terminal building, and there
is a shuttle connection to a remote car park, which has capacity for 1,000
cars.
